Wheatgrass has remarkable healing properties, many examples of which can be found on this website. I believe these effects are most likely due to the influence of wheatgrass bioactives on gene expression. Time will tell.

The grass juice factor was precipitated from grass juice or dehydrated
grass by using acetone.
It was noted in this study that guinea pigs fed on a diet deficient of grass juice factor died within 3-10 weeks. On the other hand, guinea pigs fed on diet with 20% grass juice factor grew normally. This claim was studied on rats and guinea pigs that were fed with diets enriched and deficient of the grass juice factor. The findings of this study validate the notion that grass juice factor is an essential ingredient for growth. Further studies are required to substantiate the evidence provided and also to identify the other properties of the grass juice factor.
